Press Secretary Robert Gibbs is Right in his Criticism of the “Professional Left”

President Obama’s Press Secretary Robert Gibbs vented his frustration earlier this week against what he called the “Professional Left”, claiming that Liberals have not given President Obama enough credit for his job performance so far. Naturally, there was an outcry from the Left and some have called for Gibbs to be fired. I think that Gibbs’s frustration is warranted. Under Obama’s leadership, Congress passed the Stimulus Bill, which gave tax cuts to 98 percent of all Americans, the Health Care Bill, and financial regulatory reform, among other significant legislation. He’s accelerating the withdrawl of troops from Iraq, which was a campaign promise. He’s nominated two women Justices who should be fairly Liberal. He hasn’t been perfect, but Liberals need to be pragmatists. Obama gets zero cooperation from the Republicans in Congress, so he needs to get cooperation from moderate and conservative Democrats in order to get anything accomplished. Do you think that Gibbs was warranted in his criticism? Please comment below. (Photo from the Christian Science Monitor).

  1. Jackson Kapp says:

I get this guy mixed up with the announcer on the “Jimmy Fallon Show”. OK maybe it’s just me. My wife says I’m crazy when I think people were twins separated at birth. But check it out sometime. Twins I tell you.

The”Professional Left”…whew-how would you like to spend a few hours with those folks in a rain forest, with some endangered species during a war? Yowser I think I’d rather swim naked upstream through nuclear waste. The Liberals are turning against Obama. What next? Eternally suffering minions in Gehenna rising up against Lou Cypher?

  2. Why does Obama deserve any credit? He’s been the worst president our country has ever had since Jimmy Carter. He’s spent more than any president in U.S. history, yet unemployment is still at 10% and houses are still being foreclosed at an unbelievable rate. Even more troubling is that all his spending will destroy this country down the road. Unfortunately, the artsy-fartsy new-age hippies who support this clown are too myopic to see this.
