On Wednesday, University of Alabama Head Football Coach Nick Saban lashed out at sports agents during the SEC Media Day, alleging that they are like pimps, preying on college athletes. Granted, there is a big problem with agents enticing potential client athletes with cash and cars, but Saban and his fellow coaches are also a big part of this problematic culture as well. Most college coaches, including Saban, have no problem breaking their contracts to move on to higher paying jobs. These coaches are using the players to advance their careers as much as the agents are.

No doubt that Saban is a douche. But the NCAA is a joke. I’d love to see a group of people file a huge lawsuit against it.
Walter, I would love to agree with you again but I object to your generation’s usage of the “d” word.

Thanks for your comments. Feel free to quote me on your blog. Larry.
Looks like a case of crook being angry at a co-crook. Is it fear of competition that made Saban go like that? Competition in the wrong sense of the word. Sad but this is the sad reality about coaches and players.
